Brief Biography
Completed her MD at McMaster University in 1982, and postgraduate training in paediatric medicine (FRCPC) in 1987 with final year as co-chief resident at The Hospital for Sick Children, followed by a Duncan Gordon Fellowship studying clinical epidemiology and biostatistics at McMaster University in 1987-88. Appointed Assistant Professor in 1988, Associate Professor in 1996, Full Professor in 2011, Head of the Division of Paediatric Medicine from 1997 to 2004 and Director of the Fellowship Program, Division of Paediatric Medicine from 2004 to 2010. Currently director of Research, Paediatric Outcomes Research Team (PORT).

Inpatient hospitalist Paediatric Medicine, Paediatric Neurofibromatosis Clinic.
Research Interests
Outcomes research in paediatric medicine, including diagnosis, prevention and treatment of highly prevalent paediatric problems (eg injury, wheezing, dehydration, anemia) using epidemiologic methods (controlled clinical trials, observational methods, diagnostic test methodology, measurement methodology).
