The Year in Review
Welcome to The Year in Review, the online annual report for The Hospital for Sick Children. This online report is yet another example of our commitment to environmental sustainability and cost effectiveness and to the broadest possible distribution.
The year 2008-2009 was a busy and exciting year for SickKids. Significant progress is evident across our organization all of which contribute to better care for children in Canada and throughout the world. Among countless examples, our Emergency Department – the “front door” to the hospital – is undergoing renovations that will continue to improve the patient and family experience; our trainees are receiving access to the most stimulating and challenging situations in paediatric care, and our scientists in the Research Institute keep making remarkable discoveries.
