Description of Position:

We have an opening for a postdoctoral researcher who would like to play a leadership role in organizing and conducting studies of the effectiveness of cognitive rehabilitation for various neuropsychiatric disorders such as but not limited to attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This position is perfect for someone with a strong interest in developing a research career in treatment of neuropsychiatric illness and proven research abilities including the ability to design and implement research studies, analyze data and prepare research results for presentation and publication. The selected applicant will join a research group led by Prof Russell Schachar focusing on cognitive neuroscience of children’s mental illnesses and their rehabilitation.
This two-year position is suited to someone with clinical child and adolescent psychology and psychiatry experience, familiarity with the principles of cognition and neuropsychology, as well as the fundamentals of design, measurement and evaluation skills. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in computer applications, computer games and neural plasticity. The position offers an opportunity to collaborate with software developers and provide experience in commercial development of technologies.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a PhD in clinical or experimental psychology or will have trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
