Details: | OBJECTIVES
-Review and apply the theoretical contexts for the development of chemotherapy protocols and the use of new agents in the treatment of paediatric malignancies.
-Describe the role of risk and response adapted therapies in the management of paediatric malignancy.
-Apply principles of chemotherapy in the anticipation and management of post-administration effects of chemotherapy.
-Survey recent advances in the supportive care of children receiving chemotherapy and their families.
-Describe the rationale for the choice of donor source based on disease features and timing of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
-Evolution of sarcoma therapy in children
-Supportive care updates for children receiving cancer treatment
-Risk-adapted approaches to therapy of childhood cancers
-Defining the role of palliative chemotherapy COURSE FORMAT
This course will consist of interactive plenary sessions, updates and workshops to allow participants to provide and receive feedback from colleagues and experts. |
