Conference Objectives: The overall objective for this symposium is to provide useful, up-to-date information for health-care professionals on current issues related to fetal assessment and new technologies in prenatal diagnosis and medical genetics.  The theme of the 2010 symposium is prenatal diagnosis and medical genetics of urogenital abnormalities. The morning session will update us on prenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy and postnatal outcome of urogenital abnormalities. The afternoon session will discuss important issues in the genetics of ciliopathies in general and renal cystic diseases in particular as well as the interplay of genetics and epigenetics in hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
